Oh! Hi there! I’m Amber, the owner of NOMAD Hair Design. Thanks for stopping by!

NOMAD has evolved from a tiny salon in a caravan in Bright, to a still tiny, but not SO tiny, salon space in Warrnambool.

Here is a small walk through time about NOMAD and how we came about.

Well, it all started when…

We moved to Bright in 2016. I was ready to own my own salon and my mum suggested I renovate a caravan into a salon space. At first I thought the idea was ridiculous! I wasn’t ‘cool’ enough to have a business in a caravan!

After searching for a space that might be suitable and coming up with nothing, an amazing idea popped in to my head - to renovate a caravan in to a salon space! (Thanks Mum hehe)

We searched far and wide for a suitable caravan, and after placing a wanted ad on a local facebook page, we found the perfect van just down the road!

My husband, Will, and I spent many months renovating the van on weekends and during our lunch breaks, and after a year and a half, NOMAD Hair Design was up and running!

I knew I wanted to be a stockist for qaba™, as a previous housemate of mine had a bottle in the shower (and being a curious hairdresser, of course I had to try it!), and after giving it a try I was in LOVE!

And for Pureology, the other brand I stock, this joined the NOMAD team a few years later after a rep had dropped off some products to the salon for me to try. The Pureology products are a great new addition to the products we carry, and compliment the qaba™ range beautifully.

NOMAD Hair Design has been in business for over three years now, and while operating out of Bright my books were full of amazing guests from all walks of life, and I had a special place in the van and my heart for every single one!

Now that the business in Warrnambool is open, I cannot wait to meet a whole new range of salon guests and get to know you all too!
